Blog Entry: Here are some " new words " I picked up while reading the newspaper. I hope you learn something new after this like I did ( not! ) Disclaimer: Some words may only apply to Filipino citizens and/or Dabawenyos. WARNING: Contents may be funny and corny. Sixteenitis ( n ) - The state wherein you are already 50 years old but would like to go back to sixteen. Sentence : So many middle aged people suffer from sixteenitis . (original sentence edited) Fortyfivish ( n ) - The state wher you are sixteen but would like to be forty-five. Sentence : The opposite of sixteenitis is fortyfivish . Navelism ( n ) - The condition wherein you bend to look at your feet and you only see your navel because of your protruding belly. Sentence : My friend has Navelism . (original sentence was: Navelism is not good. It really is not! But it's better than burstation * .) Wheehooo * ( interj ) - The feeling when you are broke and you find a 500 peso bill tucked in you wallet. (original definition edited.) Sentence : Hala! Wheehooo ! Chairzzz ( n ) - When you fall asleep in (on) your chair. Sentence : Your boss should never see you chairzzz . Twolinitism ( n ) - If you are a single woman and you take the pregnancy test and it reveals two lines.. (can also be Twolinitis) Sentence : Twolinitism can be considered a fad nowadays. (original sentence: She almost fainted when she saw the twolinitism.) Curtailang * ( n ) - The space in your window that the curtain cannot cover. Sentence : At night I do not like to look at the curtailang . Unorain ** ( n ) - The first drop of rain that hits you. Tieblank ( n ) - The space between your tie and collar. Sentence : I'ts a no-no to have a tieblank . Diebeep * / ** ( n ) - The sound of your cell phone as it runs out of battery. Chichavie ** ( n ) - A person who munches chicharon in a movie (theater) . * Chicharon is a Filipino snack item made from animal skin, usually that of pig. It is dried and deepfried. (very tasty, yumm!) Huhuhuvie ** ( n ) - The person (seated) beside the Chichavie. Hairongue ( n ) - That strand of hair stuck in (on) your tongue. Sentence : Hairongue ith really not thow good! Pffffth! (edited) Note: These are the words that stood-out the most to me. The grey-colored texts are additions I made to make it coherent for others. The ones with * are personal favorites. * refers to a word found in the first Enhance your Vocabulary blog. ** are word/s that can be used by reader without needing sentence examples.
