Subject: Samurai Champloo/Cowboy Bebop
Content: Let's talk about Shinichiro Watanabe's greatest series. I can't believe samurai chambara action could go very well with hip-hop culture. I was laughing my ass off when some guy started beatboxing and goes "Jiwi-Jiwi-Jin!", that was insanely funny, as well as those guys with wooden boomboxes. The best fights I've seen was with Shouryuu, Sara, and Kariya, totally kick-ass. Similarities I've noticed within both series: That part where Mugen was blown away to the sea during the Makoto chapter...it was very reminiscent of the "Ballad of Fallen Angels" episode where Spike was shot down by Vicious in the church showdown, complete with classic dramatic music. Also when Jin killed Mukuro, that scene was very very similar to the final showdown between Spike and Vicious, only the swordsman was below the staircase and the gunman was at the podium, even the way Jin was running towards Mukuro...it was shot with a third-person camera style.
